Local Company progressing nicely on plans to revitalize the Historic Colony Shops Retail Center in St. Matthews ; Shopping center’s new face lift  attracts expanding yoga business, YOGA I.S., who joins anchor tenants The Lee W. Robinson Company, 211 Clover Restaurant and Fierce Salon.  

–Arcadia Communities expands business model to include Commercial Retail Space; new ownership confident the Colony Shops prime location in the heart of St. Matthews and charming character will attract new tenants to the remaining few vacant suites–

Louisville, KY. October 1—Arcadia Communities, a prominent local real estate company, today announced that progress to revitalize the Colony Shops Retail Center located in St.

Matthews at the intersection of Westport Road and Clover Lane, is moving ahead very nicely.  The Colony Shops is home to anchor tenants The Lee W. Robinson Design Company, 211 Clover Restaurant, and Fierce Salon.  Arcadia also announced they have secured a lease with YOGA I.S. to accommodate their expanding business.  YOGA I.S., headed by nationally recognized YOGA experts Lauren Eirk and Donna Medley, provide a variety of yoga services including yoga instructor certifications, yoga classes, fitness and rehabilitation services, along with other health and wellness services.

“We are very excited Lauren and Donna have selected the Colony Center as home to their expanding business.  We’re also pleased with the progress made thus far with the revitalization of this historic and charming building,” said Brian Durbin, President of Arcadia Communities.  “We have spent a lot of time cleaning up the property, adding new landscaping, and recently completed painting the exterior of the building.  We have an outstanding group of anchor tenants headed by Lee Robinson who is widely regarded as one of the top Interior Design firms in the Region, and 211 Clover which has evolved into one of the City’s best destinations for fine dining. ”  Durbin went on to say, “The Colony Shops offers a phenomenal location in the heart of St. Matthew’s retail district and central to the area’s upscale demographics.”

Arcadia indicated after the recent leasing of 3400 sf of space by YOGA I.S., the center’s remaining space can accommodate businesses needing as little as 1,100 sf up to a total of 6,000 sf.  Arcadia has retained the services of Louisville based PRG Investments to market the remaining space.  “We are excited to partner with Arcadia Communities on this tremendous property, and are confident the remaining space will lease up quickly, “said Reed Weinberg, President of PRG.  “We feel the Colony Shops offer a great value, tremendous location, and a solid and professional group of tenant neighbors.  We have seen a significant rise in interest in the center with the new ownership group and recent freshening of the property,” said Weinberg.
